Job Description:
The Department of Physics at Syracuse University seeks to fill a position for a postdoctoral researcher in experimental Soft Matter and/or Biophysics. The hired candidate would join Patteson's research lab under the supervision of Prof. Alison Patteson.
Research duties include designing new experimental protocols, acquiring experimental data, interpreting and analyzing collected data, writing manuscripts, and providing input and written materials for new grant applications.

PhD in Physics or related discipline

Responsibilities:
- Developing and conducting experimental studies in either our studies on (A) the vimentin cytoskeleton and its role in cell migration or (B) the collective motion and pattern formation in bacteria colonies
- Research duties include designing new experimental protocols, acquiring experimental data, interpreting and analyzing collected data, writing manuscripts, and provide input and written materials for new grant applications
- Collaborating with members of BioInspired Institute at Syracuse
